I can build the game. Who wants to help create a tiny escape-room adventure?

Posted by Cameron · Location-independent

I’m a software developer with an idea for a small browser game: a cozy workshop where everything has been left slightly wrong, and the player has to solve a handful of connected puzzles to get the lights back on. I’d like to team up with an artist, writer, or puzzle designer to turn it into a short playable experience. I can bring the programming: interactions, puzzle logic, inventory, and getting it running in a browser. You could help give the room its personality through artwork, a story, sound, or clever puzzles. For a first version, I’m thinking one room, three connected puzzles, and about 5–10 minutes of play. Something small enough to finish, share with a few testers, and improve together. The setting and puzzles are open to change if we find a better idea. This is an idea-stage collaboration; there isn’t a finished game or an existing team. We’d agree on contributions, scope, schedule, credits, ownership, and any costs or commercial plans before starting. If this sounds fun, share a puzzle idea or an example of the kind of art, writing, or sound you’d like to contribute. Let’s see whether we can make a tiny game worth finishing.

One connected puzzle idea, a torn repair note reveals how to assemble a music box, its tune identifies the correct drawers. those contain the pieces needed to restore the lights. A writer and sound designer could give the workshop a former owner whose personality emerges through those objects.
