Idea replies — I’m a new writer building my portfolio. Got something that deserves to be written about?

A craftsperson with interesting work but a sparse website could be a good first subject. Interview them about one product from idea to finished object, then write a short story they can publish. You get an attributed portfolio piece; they get material that explains why their work is worth buying.
