Pick ten small businesses in the same industry, record where they appear in search results and whether AI tools mention them, then investigate what the visible businesses have in common. Even if the findings are inconclusive, documenting the process would make an interesting portfolio project. It would also give you something more convincing to show potential clients than simply saying you've studied SEO and GEO.
