PhD life scientist offering scientific English editing for papers and grants
Posted by Hiro · Location-independent
I'm a life scientist with a PhD and over 20 years of research experience (immunology, protein biochemistry, neurodegenerative disease). I have published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and serve as a review editor for a journal, so I know what reviewers look for.
I can edit manuscripts, cover letters, responses to reviewers and grant text for grammar, clarity, logic and structure. I'm a native Japanese speaker, so I can also help Japanese researchers turn Japanese drafts into clear English.
Available now. Written work only, by email or shared documents. I’d love to hear other ideas too, from collaborations to projects bridging Japanese and English research.

Why I’m posting this
I enjoy helping scientists tell their story clearly, and I'd like to do more of it.

A Japanese research group preparing several related submissions could benefit from a shared terminology and style guide alongside individual edits. You bring consistency and reviewer awareness; the group supplies subject context. That creates a useful ongoing relationship while keeping the work entirely in writing.
Ideas are free public suggestions. Proposals are paid and private and are never shown here.
